The audio and video on this camera is very high quality
HD video, 4x pictures. The settings on the software are pretty comprehensive, too. See other thoughts
Very small form factor, nice clip for mounting to laptop screen, high image quality, built in microphone
Sturdy, high zoom, 1080p 60 fps, 360 panorama, separate switch to turn onoff the digital zoom. Twin zoom controllers, limited manual controls. Super sensitive microphones
The 720p widescreen is no joke. This camera has flawless, lagless video capability. Works great fullscreen on my 25 inch widescreen monitor
I didn't see anywhere that this was a LAPTOP version of their camera. I had used the HD 5000 for 6 months at work (excellent camera) and bought two of these 6000's for my momdad and I. Doesn't clip to
Auto-focus. See other thoughts
1) after 45 minutes of skype use my Dell Vostro 1500 started to get very hot and began dropping calls. The vid cam requires the CPU to encode, its not built in and thus can put your computer to work
2) the autofocus is very sensitive and seems to attempt to refocus at times when you wouldn't want it to
3) built in microphone picked up feedback where as built in laptop mic did not
