The KDL-40W4000 does not support smart TV features. Most of the other mid-size TVs that are a similar age to the KDL-40W4000 also do not support smart TV features.

There are a number of other televisions which also support smart TV features that you might also want to consider including the UN32EH5300, or the UE48H6470 both from Samsung or the LG 47LB670 which also has a higher rating.

Not 3D Compatible

The Sony KDL-40W4000 is not 3D compatible, although this is within the context that most of the other televisions that have been available for more than two years are also not 3D compatible.

If you are looking for a television that is 3D compatible then you might want to look at the LG 42LW579, the Samsung UN40ES6500, or the Panasonic TX-47AS802 which is also higher rated.

Most similar spec TVs that have been on the market for around the same time as the KDL-40W4000 do not have a built-in camera. The KDL-40W4000 is no exception to this as it too does not have a built-in camera.

It is worth considering other TVs which also have a built-in camera including the UE46ES8000, or the UN46ES8000 both from Samsung or the Philips 48PFS8109/60.

The KDL-40W4000 does not feature OLED technology. Most of the other TVs of this spec and age also do not feature OLED technology.

We compared all the other TVs which also feature OLED technology to this TV and we think the LOEWE Art 32, or the Samsung UE46H7000 which is also higher rated is also worth considering.
