9 Reasons For for Choosing the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA

Full Hd

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is full hd (as is the LG 24LF452B), whereas the Supersonic SC2411 is only hd ready. More ...

HD Type on a TV refers to the type of high definition image that the TV is capable of displaying (e.g. Full HD, 4K Ultra HD).

The better the HD type the better the image resolution and the perceived sharpness of the image will be. Images will appear more life like and realistic. This will be more noticeable on a TV with a larger display diagonal.

Auto Volume Leveler

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA has an auto volume leveler, however the LG 24LF452B, the Sony KDL32W600D, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not. More ...

An auto-volume leveler on your TV is a system to automatically adjust the volume on your TV to provide a consistent acceptable volume level across multiple inputs and programs.

An auto-volume leveler system on your TV will stop the volume from accidentally being set too low or too high for a movie or programme, making the sound more even across the board.

Screen Mirroring

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA supports screen mirroring, but the LG 24LF452B, the Sony KDL32W600D, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not. More ...

Screen Mirroring on a TV is a system that allows you to view the screen from a computer or mobile phone on your TV.

Screen mirroring on a TV is helpful because it allows you to easily display media and info running on a phone or laptop to a big screen for easy viewing with a minimum of effort.

Game Mode

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA has a game mode (as does the Sony KDL32W600D), but the LG 24LF452B, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not have this feature. More ...

'Game Mode' on a TV is a specialist mode that scales down the graphical fidelity of the video in order to free up processing power for response time.

In effect this trades slightly worse graphical capabilities for lessened input lag, meaning a smoother, more responsive experience when gaming.

High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI)

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA features High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI), however the LG 24LF452B, the Sony KDL32W600D, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not feature this benefit. More ...

High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) on a TV is a system that allows preserves details in the darkest and brightest areas of the screen that are lost using standard display methods.

HDRI on a TV allows for better contrast levels, greater brightness levels and a wider colour palette on films and TV programs. This translates into more natural, true-to-life colours that are closer to how we see them in real life.

Digital Clean View

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA supports Digital Clean View, however the LG 24LF452B, the Sony KDL32W600D, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not. More ...

'Digital Clean View' is a function on Smart TVs that reduced the noise from low-quality signals.

Using Digital Clean View can drastically improve the picture quality on both analogue and digital signals by removing as much noise and blurring as possible from the picture.

Wi-Fi

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA supports Wi-Fi, and so do the Sony KDL32W600D and the VIZIO E50D1, whereas the LG 24LF452B and the Supersonic SC2411 do not. More ...

A Wifi (wireless LAN connection) on your TV means that you can connect your TV directly to your WiFi network.

A wifi connection means that connecting your TV to the net will be easier and can be done without cables.

Wi-Fi Direct

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA supports Wi-Fi Direct (as does the Sony KDL32W600D), but the LG 24LF452B, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not support this feature. More ...

Wi-Fi Direct is a system to allow your TV to connect directly to other device without requiring a wireless router as a go-between.

Wi-Fi Direct is helpful on a TV because it allows a TV to connect to another device (such as a computer or phone) directly, meaning there is far less setup required - the devices just need to be 'paired' (normally at a press of a button) and the y can transfer data between each other. This is extremely useful for streaming media onto your TV from a computer or phone.

Newer by 14 Months

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA was released 21 months after the LG 24LF452B, released five years after the Sony KDL32W600D, released 14 months after the Supersonic SC2411 and released 22 months after the VIZIO E50D1

10 Reasons Against for Choosing the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA

18" Smaller Display Diagonal

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA has a display diagonal of 31.5", whereas the LG 24LF452B and the Supersonic SC2411 are both 24" TVs (7.5" smaller), the Sony KDL32W600D is a 32" TV (0.5" larger) and the VIZIO E50D1 is a 49.5" TV (18" larger). More ...

‘Display Diagonal’ is the measure of the size of the TV screen from top-left to bottom-right corner, excluding any frame or border.

One of the most important considerations when choosing the right screen size for your TV is the typical distance from which you will be viewing the screen. TVs with a bigger display diagonal allow you to make the most of HD content and are great for watching movies. A good rule of thumb is to multiply the display diagonal by 2.5 to determine the viewing distance. So a 40 inch TV is best viewed from 100 inches away, which is equivalent to 8.3 feet or 2.54m. For home cinema setups and a truly immersive experience this ratio can be reduced to 1.2. This will give a screen size that fills 40 degrees of the viewer's field of vision. So if you are viewing from a distance of 6ft (72 inches) you would need a TV display diagonal of 60 inches.

Thicker

Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is 78.74mm thick. That's 25.74mm thicker than the LG 24LF452B (53mm), 12.74mm thicker than the Sony KDL32W600D (66mm), 103.26mm thinner than the Supersonic SC2411 (182mm) and 2.79mm thicker than the VIZIO E50D1 (75.95mm). More ...

The thickness of a TV measured from the back of the TV to the front of the TV. Curved TVs will have quite a big depth as this dimension is measured from the back of the centre of the screen to the front of the edges of the screen.

A thinner TV has the advantage of appearing more elegant and will also mean that the TV will not stick out as much when mounted on a wall.

60Hz Slower High Frequency Rate

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA has a high frequency rate of 60Hz (as do the Sony KDL32W600D and the Supersonic SC2411), however the VIZIO E50D1 is a 120Hz refresh rate TV (60Hz faster). More ...

The refresh rate (also known as the high frequency rate) is the number of times that the image on the screen is refreshed per second. It affects how smoothly motion on the screen appears.

Action will appear smoother on TVs with a higher frequency rate: a TV with a high frequency rate of 30Hz refreshes the image on the screen once every 30 times every second. However a TV with a high frequency rate of 60Hz would refresh the image on the screen 60 times every second which means that action scenes would appear smoother.

50% Lower RMS Rated Power

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is a 10W RMS rated power TV, and so does the Sony KDL32W600D. That's 4W higher than the Supersonic SC2411 (6W) and 10W lower than the VIZIO E50D1 (20W). More ...

RMS rated power stands for Root Mean Square rated power and it is typically used to measure the power output of the audio element of the TV.

A higher RMS rated power means that the audio system on the TV is more powerful and will be able to play the audio at higher volumes. A higher RMS power may also result in better quality audio at normal volume levels.

Not 3D

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is not 3D (As do the the LG 24LF452B, the Sony KDL32W600D and the VIZIO E50D1), however the Supersonic SC2411 is. More ...

‘3D’ describes whether the TV can display 3D movies and programmes. Requires compatible 3D glasses to properly function.

3D technology has become increasingly popular as the amount of 3D film and TV content has increased dramatically in recent years. All 3D TVs will also display regular 2D content and most will allow you to switch on and off the 3D effect on 3D content. 3D compatible TVs allow you to watch 3D content. For most TVs you will need to wear special glasses to see the 3D effect.

Worse Kagoo Score

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA has received a Kagoo Score of 82, however the LG 24LF452B scored 84, the Sony KDL32W600D scored 87, the Supersonic SC2411 scored 85 and the VIZIO E50D1 scored 86.

More Expensive by $132

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is $120 more expensive than the LG 24LF452B, $132 more expensive than the Supersonic SC2411 and $20 more expensive than the VIZIO E50D1.

Less Retailers

The Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is only stocked by 1 shop, whereas the LG 24LF452B is stocked by 2 stores, the Sony KDL32W600D is stocked by 4 sellers, the Supersonic SC2411 is stocked by 9 retailers and the VIZIO E50D1 is stocked by 2 sellers. More ...

Fewer numbers of sellers reduces the price competition amongst retailers for the product and also reduces the chances of this TV remaining in stock.
$29 More Expensive to Run Over Five Years

The running costs over five years of the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA are $98 which is $29 more than the Sony KDL32W600D, $22 more than the Supersonic SC2411 and $22 more than the VIZIO E50D1. Show assumptions.

Worse Brand

Samsung TVs have an average rating of only 94.7%, whereas LG has an average rating of 95%.

The cheapest price that we could find for the UN32N5300AFXZA in the US is $269.99 but in total we found only 1 price for it.

13 Reasons For for Choosing the Sony KDL32W600D

Ultra High (1000000:1) Dynamic Contrast Ratio

The Sony KDL32W600D has an ultra high (1000000:1) dynamic contrast ratio (as is the VIZIO E50D1), however the Supersonic SC2411 only has a low dynamic contrast ratio. We do not know what type of dynamic contrast ratio the LG 24LF452B and the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA have. More ...

'Contrast Ratio' is a measure of the image contrast that the TV is capable of producing - it is the difference between the brightness of the darkest black and brightest white that the TV can produce. The higher the contrast ratio the better the contrast.

A higher the contrast ratio means that the TV can product darker blacks and brighter whites, resulting in better image quality. So a TV with a contrast ratio of 1000:1 can produce whites which are 1000 times brighter than the darkest black that the TV can produce.

8° Wider Horizontal Viewing Angle

The Sony KDL32W600D has a horizontal viewing angle of 178° (as does the VIZIO E50D1), however the Supersonic SC2411 is only a 170° horizontal viewing angle TV (8° narrower). More ...

The horizontal viewing angle dictates the maximum angle at which the TV screen can be properly viewed.

A larger viewing angle means that the TV can be watched from many different parts of a room successfully. Conversely, a very small viewing angle means you would effectively have to sit directly in front of the TV to be able to view the screen successfully.

Three More Loudspeakers

The Sony KDL32W600D is a five loudspeaker TV, whereas the VIZIO E50D1 only has two loudspeakers. More ...

We do not know the number of loudspeakers on the LG 24LF452B or the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA. It is possible that they do not have any loudspeakers.

The number of loudspeakers is the total number of speakers provided with the TV, either inside the TV casing or as external speakers.

A greater number of speakers will allow for better quality audio and different frequencies. Multiple external speakers will enable to the TV to play surround sound audio.

Parental Controls

The Sony KDL32W600D supports parental controls, however the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not support this feature. More ...

Parental controls on a TV allow users to limit the films and programs that can be viewed on the TV, preventing adults-only content from being viewed by children.

Parental controls are a good way of stopping children accidentally (or totally not-accidentally) watching violent or sexual programs when parents aren't around to stop them.

Game Mode

The Sony KDL32W600D has a game mode (as does the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA), however the LG 24LF452B, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not have this feature. More ...

'Game Mode' on a TV is a specialist mode that scales down the graphical fidelity of the video in order to free up processing power for response time.

In effect this trades slightly worse graphical capabilities for lessened input lag, meaning a smoother, more responsive experience when gaming.

Noise Reduction

The Sony KDL32W600D supports noise reduction (as does the Supersonic SC2411), whereas the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the VIZIO E50D1 do not support this feature. More ...

Noise reduction helps reduce intrusive audio and visual noise for a clearer and better viewing experience.

Wi-Fi

The Sony KDL32W600D supports Wi-Fi, and so do the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the VIZIO E50D1, but the LG 24LF452B and the Supersonic SC2411 do not. More ...

A Wifi (wireless LAN connection) on your TV means that you can connect your TV directly to your WiFi network.

A wifi connection means that connecting your TV to the net will be easier and can be done without cables.

Ethernet Port

The Sony KDL32W600D has an ethernet port (as does the VIZIO E50D1), whereas the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the Supersonic SC2411 do not have this feature. More ...

An ethernet port lets you connect the TV directly to your router with an ethernet cable.

An ethernet connection is more reliable than wifi and is useful if you do not have a wiki network or the wifi signal is weak. Depending on the speed of your wifi network and ethernet connection may be faster than wifi which means less buffering when streaming content to the TV.

Wi-Fi Direct

The Sony KDL32W600D supports Wi-Fi Direct (as does the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA), however the LG 24LF452B, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not support this feature. More ...

Wi-Fi Direct is a system to allow your TV to connect directly to other device without requiring a wireless router as a go-between.

This is extremely useful for streaming media onto your TV from a computer or phone.

Picture-in-Picture

The Sony KDL32W600D supports Picture-in-Picture, whereas the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not support this feature. More ...

Picture-in-Picture is a special mode for a TV that allows two programs to be shown at the same time, one in a smaller screen overlaid on top of the first.

Picture-in-Picture on a TV is very helpful for browsing the net or taking Skype calls while still watching a movie or TV programme on the main screen.

Desktop Stand Included

The Sony KDL32W600D has a desktop stand included, whereas the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA, the Supersonic SC2411 and the VIZIO E50D1 do not have this feature. More ...

Whether the TV has a desktop stand included with the purchase.

A desktop stand allows you to mount the TV on a desk or table for easy viewing. Without one, you'll have to either mount the TV on a wall or buy a stand at additional expense.

Better Kagoo Score

9 Reasons Against for Choosing the Sony KDL32W600D

17.5" Smaller Display Diagonal

The Sony KDL32W600D has a display diagonal of 32", but the LG 24LF452B and the Supersonic SC2411 are both 24" TVs (8" smaller), the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is a 31.5" TV (0.5" smaller) and the VIZIO E50D1 is a 49.5" TV (17.5" larger).

17% Thicker

The Sony KDL32W600D has a thickness of 66mm. That's 13mm thicker than the LG 24LF452B (53mm), 12.74mm thinner than the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA (78.74mm), 116mm thinner than the Supersonic SC2411 (182mm) and 9.95mm thinner than the VIZIO E50D1 (75.95mm).

The Sony KDL32W600D is a 60Hz refresh rate TV (as do the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the Supersonic SC2411), whereas the VIZIO E50D1 is a 120Hz refresh rate TV (60Hz faster).

The Sony KDL32W600D is a 10W RMS rated power TV, and so does the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA.

Not 3D

The Sony KDL32W600D is not 3D (As do the the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the VIZIO E50D1), whereas the Supersonic SC2411 is.

More Expensive by $160

The Sony KDL32W600D is $148 more expensive than the LG 24LF452B, $28 more expensive than the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA, $160 more expensive than the Supersonic SC2411 and $48 more expensive than the VIZIO E50D1.

Fewer Sellers

8 Reasons For for Choosing the VIZIO E50D1

A Lot Larger Display Diagonal

The VIZIO E50D1 has a display diagonal of 49.5", however the LG 24LF452B and the Supersonic SC2411 are both only 24" TVs (25.5" smaller), the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is only a 31.5" TV (18" smaller) and the Sony KDL32W600D is only a 32" TV (17.5" smaller).

So if you are viewing from a distance of 6ft (72 inches) you would need a TV display diagonal of 60 inches.

A Lot Faster High Frequency Rate

VIZIO E50D1 is 120Hz refresh rate, but the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA, the Sony KDL32W600D and the Supersonic SC2411 are all only 60Hz refresh rate TVs (60Hz slower).

Ultra High (5000000:1) Dynamic Contrast Ratio

The VIZIO E50D1 has an ultra high (5000000:1) dynamic contrast ratio (as is the Sony KDL32W600D), whereas the Supersonic SC2411 only has a low dynamic contrast ratio.

Moderately Wider Horizontal Viewing Angle

The VIZIO E50D1 has a horizontal viewing angle of 178° (as does the Sony KDL32W600D), whereas the Supersonic SC2411 is only a 170° horizontal viewing angle TV (8° narrower).

Higher RMS Rated Power

The VIZIO E50D1 is a 20W RMS rated power TV. That's 10W higher than the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the Sony KDL32W600D (10W) and 14W higher than the Supersonic SC2411 (6W).

Local Dimming

The VIZIO E50D1 features local dimming, whereas the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA, the Sony KDL32W600D and the Supersonic SC2411 do not. More ...

'Local Dimming' on a TV is a function that dims certain sections of the backlight to control the level of light/color intensity in a given part of the screen.

Local dimming can be used to make blacks on the screen appear darker and richer by removing the backlight behind them.

Wi-Fi

The VIZIO E50D1 supports Wi-Fi, and so do the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the Sony KDL32W600D, however the LG 24LF452B and the Supersonic SC2411 do not. More ...

A Wifi (wireless LAN connection) on your TV means that you can connect your TV directly to your WiFi network.

A wifi connection means that connecting your TV to the net will be easier and can be done without cables.

Ethernet Port

The VIZIO E50D1 has an ethernet port (as does the Sony KDL32W600D), but the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the Supersonic SC2411 do not have this feature.

The number of loudspeakers is the total number of speakers provided with the TV, either inside the TV casing or as external speakers.

A greater number of speakers will allow for better quality audio and different frequencies. Multiple external speakers will enable to the TV to play surround sound audio.

Not 3D

The VIZIO E50D1 is not 3D (As do the the LG 24LF452B, the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA and the Sony KDL32W600D), but the Supersonic SC2411 is.

6 Reasons Against for Choosing the LG 24LF452B

25.5" Smaller Display Diagonal

The LG 24LF452B has a display diagonal of 24" (as does the Supersonic SC2411), whereas the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA is a 31.5" TV (7.5" larger), the Sony KDL32W600D is a 32" TV (8" larger) and the VIZIO E50D1 is a 49.5" TV (25.5" larger).

Not 3D

The LG 24LF452B is not 3D (As do the the Samsung UN32N5300AFXZA, the Sony KDL32W600D and the VIZIO E50D1), however the Supersonic SC2411 is.

The LG 24LF452B has received a Kagoo Score of 84, however the Sony KDL32W600D scored 87, the Supersonic SC2411 scored 85 and the VIZIO E50D1 scored 86.

More Expensive by $12

The LG 24LF452B is $12 more expensive than the Supersonic SC2411.

The LG 24LF452B is only stocked by 2 stores, whereas the Sony KDL32W600D is stocked by 4 sellers and the Supersonic SC2411 is stocked by 9 sellers. More ...
