Will have to order a eSata external cable before I can comment on the actual operation of the controller...

Easily installed and loaded drivers with no problem
I use this controller card to connect my external Seagate HDD to my system via eSATA. It works just fine

I did have some trouble getting my drive to be recognized at first. I figured out that this was a driver issue. Read below
1st off, I had to detach the controller from the chassis adapter and bend the two mounting screws brackets to make it line up with my PCI Express 1X slot, then I had to cut away some of the fiberglass
This card doesn't recognize the majority of drives. I finally got it to work with an IDE drive with attached sata adapter on WinXP. I have tried new WD, Hitachi, and a Seagate without success. What a
