In many ways, the iPad mini remains the small tablet to beat. The performance enhancements in this version keep it ahead of its competitors, and iOS 9 is now well ahead of Android as a tablet...

Gorgeous design
Touch ID fingerprint sensor, gold option, impressive performance, better cameras
Thinner lighter design
Improved battery life
Brighter more color accurate Retina Display, iOS 9 brings real multitasking

Still light with the camera shooting modes and controls
No 4K video capture or slomo at 1080p
Pricey cost
It's pricier than Android alternatives, iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro offer more
