The Vivitek DX831 does not support full HD, unlike most of the other comparable spec projectors that have been available for around the same time as the DX831.

There are a number of other multimedia projectors which also support full HD which you might want to consider including the Epson U32+ which also has a higher rating.

The noise levels of 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that have been available for around the same time as the DX831 range from 29dB to 39dB. When compared to other newly released 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that we have assessed the noise level of, the Vivitek DX831's noise level of 39 decibels is one of the loudest.

If you would consider a projector with a louder noise level then you might want to look at the Epson U32+ (37dB) which is also higher rated.
