With a weight of only 2.1 kilograms, the Viewsonic PJD6235 is fairly light compared to most of the other multimedia projectors of a similar age and type to the PJD6235.

Unacceptable Noise Level

One Viewsonic PJD6235 owner thought this projector was not noisy. Myles wrote “The fan can be noisy and it gets quite warm” in his Viewsonic PJD6235 review.

Inferior Picture Quality

One Viewsonic PJD6235 owner who reviewed it concluded that it was not good for watching movies. Two years ago Myles mentioned “External speakers are necessary as the inbuilt speaker isnt good enough for movies”.

Does Not Support Full HD

The PJD6235 does not support full HD, although this is within the context that most of the other 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that have been available for around the same time as the PJD6235 also do not support full HD.

It is worth also looking at alternative projectors which also support full HD including the PJD7820HD, the PRO8600, or the PJD8633 all from Viewsonic which also has a higher rating.

Does Not Support Wi-Fi

The PJD6235 does not support wi-Fi, although keep in mind that most of the other projectors that were released more than two years ago also do not support wi-Fi.

We compared all the other projectors which also support wi-Fi to this projector and we think the Optoma EX400, or the Epson EB-Z11000 is also worth considering.

Quite Dim Projector Brightness

Across all the data projectors of a comparable age and spec to the PJD6235 the projector brightnesss range from 700 ANSI lumens to 11,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 4,200 ANSI lumens. The PJD6235 has one of the dimmer projector brightnesss (only 2,800 ANSI lumens) amongst projectors of this age.

If you would prefer a multimedia projector with a brighter projector brightness then you might also want to consider the Infocus IN116A (3,000 ANSI lumens) which is also higher rated.

At 32 decibels, the PJD6235 has a pretty average noise level compared to most of the other projectors of a similar spec and age to the PJD6235.

We compared this multimedia projector to all the other 32dB noise level data projectors and we think the Viewsonic PJD5232 which has better reviews is also worth considering.
