Good Product Quality

A number of people thought this projector was good quality. Jim mentioned “Everything from fan noise to picture quality was a real noticeable upgrade” in his review of the Viewsonic PJD5150. Mr. R. Case mentioned on Amazon “Now to be able to see them on a big screen is such fabulous quality” in their review of the Viewsonic PJD5150. Pvr mentioned on Amazon “Very high quality unit, very quiet as well which is nice when you use it for presentations” in their review of the Viewsonic PJD5150 and gave the Viewsonic PJD5150 a very good review score.

Easy to Use

We calculated the average ratings for all Viewsonic data projectors and also specifically for Viewsonic data projectors and found that in both cases Viewsonic had excellent ratings.

Good Sound Quality

Does Not Support Full HD

The PJD5150 does not support full HD, although it is worth keeping in mind that most of the other data projectors of this spec and age also do not support full HD.

We compared all the other projectors which also support full HD to this projector and we think the Viewsonic PJD7830HDL ($520.99), or the Sony VPL-VW350ES ($8,195.00) which is also higher rated is also worth considering.

Does Not Support Wi-Fi

The PJD5150 does not support wi-Fi. Most of the other multimedia projectors of this spec and age also do not support wi-Fi.

There are a number of other multimedia projectors which also support wi-Fi that you might also want to consider including the Vivitek Qumi Q6 ($356.39) which also has a higher rating.

Only SVGA (800x600) Projector Native Resolution

The PJD5150 has a maximum resolution of SVGA (800x600). That's 53% less resolution than the most frequently found projector native resolution of WXGA (1280x800).

A SVGA (800x600) projector native resolution is in fact the worst resolution amongst all data projectors that were released more than a year ago.

Amongst similar types of multimedia projector the best resolution is WUXGA (1920x1200).
