It is worth also looking at other multimedia projectors which also support full HD including the PJD7820HD, the PRO8600 ($2,500.00), or the PJD8633 all from Viewsonic.

Does Not Support Wi-Fi

Most projectors of this type and age do not support wi-Fi. The PJD5132 is no exception to this as it too does not support wi-Fi.

It is worth also looking at alternative multimedia projectors which also support wi-Fi including the Optoma EX400, or the Epson EB-Z11000.

The highest resolution of the Viewsonic PJD5132 is SVGA (800x600). That's 39% less resolution than a XGA (1024x768) data projector, which is the most common resolution.

This projector's resolution (SVGA (800x600)) is actually the worst resolution across all 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that have been around for a similar time to the PJD5132.

Across similar types of projector the best resolution is WUXGA (1920x1200).

The PJD5132 has a fairly dim projector brightness (only 2,800 ANSI lumens) compared to most of the other projectors of this type and age. Across all the 15000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that came out around the same time as the PJD5132 the projector brightnesss range from 700 ANSI lumens to 11,000 ANSI lumens.

It may also be worth considering one of the alternative 2,800 ANSI lumens brightness data projectors currently available including because of it's better review score, the Viewsonic PJD5533W.

If this multimedia projector projector brightness is too dim for you then you might want to look at the Infocus IN116A (3,000 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.

We compared this multimedia projector to all the other 32dB noise level multimedia projectors and we think the PJD5232, and the PJD6235 both from Viewsonic which has better reviews is also worth considering.
