Sony Multimedia Projectors Have Excellent Reviews

Data projectors built by Sony are some of the best data projectors according to average reviews from experts and owners. 100% of those that bought a Sony multimedia projector would recommend the product that they bought to other buyers.


Design

Robust

One customer concluded that it was reliable. Four years ago Tom mentioned in his Sony VPL-FH500L review on Bhphotovideo.com “Sony LCD monitors are also reliable and great looking”.

Good Quality

One owner considered that the product was good quality. Bhphotovideo.com said in their review of this projector “Great picture quality” yet they rated it 1 stars.

Not Easy to Use

Two people thought this projector was not easy to use. Bhphotovideo.com mentioned four years ago “Hard To Use”. Tom mentioned in his Sony VPL-FH500L review “When working properly, control is sloppy” . One customer considered that it was not easy to setup. Bhphotovideo.com wrote in their review of this projector “Difficult To Set Up”.

Poor Design

Fairly Bright Projector Brightness

Across all the projectors of this age and type the projector brightnesses range from 110 ANSI lumens to 12,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 4,200 ANSI lumens. At 7,000 ANSI lumens, the VPL-FH500L has a fairly bright projector brightness compared to most of the other multimedia projectors that were released more than two years ago.

If you would prefer a projector with a brighter projector brightness then you might want to consider the Christie DXG1051-Q (10,000 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.

The highest resolution of the Sony VPL-FH500L is WUXGA (1920x1200). That's over two times the resolution of a XGA (1024x768) projector, which is the most common resolution.

This projector's resolution (WUXGA (1920x1200)) is in fact the best resolution across all projectors that were launched around the same time as this projector.

The worst resolution across similar types of projector is XGA (1024x768).
