It may also be worth considering one of the other multimedia projectors which support full HD currently available including the VPL-EW345[pl_3038011_price], or the VPL-EW315[pl_3022931_price] both from Sony which is cheaper.

That's over six times the resolution of a 640 x 480 (VGA) projector, which is the most common resolution supported by data projectors of a comparable spec and age to the VPL-EW348. The worst resolution of all comparable spec projectors that have been around for a similar time to the VPL-EW348 is 640 x 480 (VGA) and the best is 4096 x 2160.
