The Sony VPL-CX275 has one of the brighter projector brightnesss (5,200 ANSI lumens) amongst 3000:1 contrast ratio projectors of this age. Across all the similar spec projectors that have been around for around the same time as the VPL-CX275 the projector brightnesss range from 100 ANSI lumens to 8,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 3,500 ANSI lumens.
