The Pico Genie P100 is one of the lighter data projectors that are a similar age to the P100 (only 235 grams) amongst similar spec multimedia projectors of this age. Battery powered projectors that have been available for around the same time as the P100 have weights of between 130g and 3.6kg.

Average ratings across all Pico Genie multimedia projectors are unexceptional, however average ratings across just Pico Genie's battery powered projectors are ok.

Does Not Support 3D

Like most of the other projectors that are a comparable age to the P100, the Pico Genie P100 does not support 3D.

There are a number of alternative multimedia projectors which also support 3D which you might want to consider including the Benq GS1, or the LG PH450UG ($1,049.97) which is also higher rated.

Does Not Support Wi-Fi

Most data projectors that are a comparable age to the P100 do not support wi-Fi. The Pico Genie P100 is no exception to this as it too does not support wi-Fi.

Alternative projectors which also support wi-Fi that you might want to look at include the Pico Genie M400 Pro.

Very Dim Projector Brightness

The dimmest projector brightness of projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the P100 is 65 ANSI lumens, the brightest is 3,500 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 810 ANSI lumens. At only 85 ANSI lumens, the Pico Genie P100 has a fairly dim projector brightness compared to most of the other newly released data projectors.

If this projector projector brightness is too dim for you then you might also want to look at the LG PH150G ($349.00) (130 ANSI lumens), or the Pico Genie M400 Pro (300 ANSI lumens).

The Pico Genie P100 supports a maximum resolution of 854 x 480 (WVGA). That's 15% less resolution than the most frequently found supported graphics resolutions of 800 x 600 (SVGA). The worst resolution of all comparable spec data projectors that have been around for the last year is 640 x 350 and the best is 3840 x 2160.
