10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that have been on the market for a comparable time to this multimedia projector have projector brightnesses of between 300 ANSI lumens and 20,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 3,400 ANSI lumens. At only 2,000 ANSI lumens, the PT-DZ21 has a quite dim projector brightness compared to most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that came out around the same time as this multimedia projector.

If this projector projector brightness is not bright enough for you then you might want to look at the Benq W1070+W (2,200 ANSI lumens), or the Infocus IN8606HD (2,500 ANSI lumens).
