We checked 1,872 owner and expert reviews (including 70 verified purchases) for Optoma multimedia projectors and found that on average Optoma has good ratings compared to other brands. We also found that Optoma has good ratings specifically for its 23000:1 contrast ratio data projectors. 100% of those that bought a Optoma projector would recommend the product that they bought to other buyers.


Good Picture Quality

Sixteen owners who purchased the Optoma H181X concluded that it had good picture quality. Good 3D Picture Quality

Nice Design

Three people reckoned that it was good looking. Tzwrtzis scored it the highest possible rating of 5 stars and wrote on Amazon “This is a fantastic projector the picture is pretty amazing very bring with lots of colour”. Cp said “I sent it straight back and, rather than get a replacement of the same model, I bought the 2013 which works beautifully” but despite that they only scored it 1 stars out of 5.

The dimmest projector brightness of 23000:1 contrast ratio data projectors that are a comparable age to this multimedia projector is 2,600 ANSI lumens and the brightest is 3,200 ANSI lumens.

We compared this projector to all the other 3,200 ANSI lumens brightness data projectors and we think because of it's better review score, the Optoma HD26 ($669.99) is also worth considering.
