It may also be worth also looking at one of the alternative multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker(s) currently available including the Optoma X320UST, the NEC M403X, or the Epson EB-536Wi which is cheaper.

Supports 3D

The Optoma GT5000 supports 3D, as do most of the other similar spec data projectors that have been on the market for more than a year.

Other projectors which support 3D currently available that you might also want to consider include the Optoma X320UST, or the NEC M403X which is cheaper; or the Benq SW921 which has better reviews.

The Optoma GT5000 has a maximum resolution of 1080p (1920x1080). That's over two times the resolution of the most frequently found projector native resolution of WXGA (1280x800). Across all projectors of this spec and age the worst resolution is SVGA (800x600) and the best is WUXGA (1920x1200).

The highest resolution supported by the Optoma GT5000 is 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). That's over six times the resolution of a 640 x 480 (VGA) projector, which is the most frequently found resolution supported by projectors of this type and age. 640 x 480 (VGA) is also supported by this data projector. This projector also support supported graphics resolutionss of 800 x 600 (SVGA), 1024 x 768 (XGA), 1280 x 1024 (SXGA) and 1360 x 768 (WXGA) and 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). The GT5000 picture quality is great you can see some pictures I have enclosed, when used during the day on a plain wall with no screen. You will see it looks great.
