The NEC PA522 supports full HD. Most of the other 5000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the PA522 do not support full HD.

The NEC PA522 supports a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160. That's over four times the resolution of the most common supported graphics resolutions of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA). This projector also support supported graphics resolutionss of 2048 x 1080, 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA) and 2560 x 1600 (WQXGA) and 640 x 480 (VGA).

A 4096 x 2160 supported graphics resolutions is in fact the best supported resolution amongst all projectors that came out around the same time as the PA522.

The worst supported resolution amongst comparable types of data projector is 640 x 400.
