The NEC M311 supports a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 (HD 1080). That's 8% more resolution than the most common supported graphics resolutions of 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) (which is also supported by this multimedia projector). In addition, this projector support supported graphics resolutionss of 720 x 480, 720 x 576, 832 x 624, 1152 x 870, 1280 x 960, 1600 x 900, 1280 x 720 (HD 720), 1280 x 768 (WXGA), 1280 x 800 (WXGA), 1366 х 768, 1400 x 1050 (SXGA+), 1440 x 900 (WXGA+), 1680 x 1050 (WSXGA+) and 640 x 480 (VGA) and 800 x 600 (SVGA). Across all similar spec data projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as the M311 the worst resolution is 640 x 480 (VGA) and the best is 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA).

Quite Dim Projector Brightness

At only 2,325 ANSI lumens, the NEC M311 has a very dim projector brightness compared to most of the other 3000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a similar age to the M311. The projector brightnesss of projectors of this type and age range from 100 ANSI lumens to 8,000 ANSI lumens.

If you want a brighter projector brightness then you might also want to look at the Sony VPL-DW127 ($779.95) (2,600 ANSI lumens and cheaper).
