This LG projector has an average expert rating of 78 out of 100 based on five expert reviews from sites including Techradar, PC Mag, projectorcentral.com and prad.de.

Good Size

A number of customers who purchased it agreed that it was compact. Pcmag.com said in their review of this projector on expert review site PC Mag “The obvious way to think of the LG Compact Pebble Design Smart Minibeam Projector PW800 ($599.99) is as a projector with a built-in TV tuner.”. Pcmag.com also said “The LG Compact Pebble Design Smart Minibeam Projector PW800 offers the usual HDMI”.

Two LG PW800 owners who reviewed it said that it was lightweight. Pc Mag mentioned in their review of the LG PW800 “Small and lightweight” . Expert website Techradar.com said “The LG PW800 ($599.99, £385.24, AU$738.45) is small, lightweight and attractive” in their LG PW800 review.

Good Connectivity

Several LG PW800 reviewers reckoned that the LG PW800 was wifi compatible. Pcmag.com said “VGA ports, plus easy wireless connectivity to mobile devices”. Last year Pc Mag mentioned on PC Mag “WiDi for easy wireless mirroring of cell-phone, tablet” in their review of this projector.

Supports 3D

Like most of the other comparable spec multimedia projectors that have been available for around the same time as the PW800, the LG PW800 supports 3D.

The service life of lamps of multimedia projectors that have been around for a similar time to the PW800 range from 2,000h to 30,000h. At 30,000 hours, the LG PW800 has a quite long service life of lamp compared to most of the other comparable spec projectors that were released around the same time as the PW800.

Two Number of Built-In Speakerss

The LG PW800 has more number of built-in speakerss than most of the data projectors that came out more than a year ago. Most of the multimedia projectors of this age and spec only have one number of built-in speakers, however this multimedia projector has two number of built-in speakerss.

Does Not Support Wi-Fi

The LG PW800 does not support wi-Fi, although this is within the context that most of the other multimedia projectors of a similar age and type to the PW800 also do not support wi-Fi.

It is worth also looking at other data projectors which also support wi-Fi including the Sony MP-CL1[plb_3151534_price]; or the Vivitek Qumi Q6[plb_3137053_price].

The LG PW800 has one of the dimmer projector brightnesss (only 800 ANSI lumens) amongst data projectors of this age. Data projectors that came out around the same time as the PW800 have projector brightnesss of between 37 ANSI lumens and 8,200 ANSI lumens.

If this LG data projector projector brightness is too dim for you then you might also want to look at the Viewsonic PJD5353LS[plb_2949584_price] (3,000 ANSI lumens and higher rated).
