The CP-WU8600 supports full HD. Most of the other data projectors of a similar type and age to this projector do not support full HD.

We compared this projector to all the other multimedia projectors which support full HD and we think cheaper multimedia projectors such as the WU515T ($2,579), and the WU515 both from Optoma is also worth considering.

Alternative projectors which also support full HD that you might also want to look at include the Sony VPL-FHZ57 ($2,799.99).

We compared all the other projectors with a built-in speaker(s) to this projector and we think the Optoma WU515T ($2,579), and the Hitachi CP-WX8750 which is cheaper is also worth considering.

There are a number of other multimedia projectors which also have a built-in speaker(s) that you might want to consider including the Optoma ZH300UW.

10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that have been on the market for more than a year have projector brightnesses of between 600 ANSI lumens and 16,000 ANSI lumens, and the average projector brightness is 4,100 ANSI lumens. The CP-WU8600 has one of the brighter projector brightnesses (6,000 ANSI lumens) amongst similar spec projectors of this age.

Other 6,000 ANSI lumens brightness multimedia projectors currently available that you might want to look at include cheaper data projectors such as the WU515, or the WU515T ($2,579) both from Optoma.

If this multimedia projector projector brightness is too dim for you then you might want to look at the Hitachi CP-WX8750 (7,500 ANSI lumens) which is also cheaper.

A WUXGA (1920x1200) projector native resolution is in fact the best resolution amongst all multimedia projectors of this type and age.
