Video

Supports Full HD

The CP-CX301WN supports full HD, which is unusual. Most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that were launched around the same time as this projector do not support full HD.

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative projectors which support full HD currently available including the Benq MH741 ($899), the Acer H6510BD, or the NEC M323X which has better reviews.

The CP-CX301WN has a pretty average noise level (36 decibels) compared to most of the other similar spec projectors that have been around for around the same time as this multimedia projector.

We compared all the other 36dB noise level data projectors to this projector and we think cheaper data projectors such as the X310ST, and the X320 both from Canon is also worth considering.

Projectors with a louder noise level that might also be worth considering include the Canon WX310ST (36dB).

Quite Dim Projector Brightness

With a projector brightness of only 3,100 ANSI lumens, the CP-CX301WN has one of the dimmer projector brightnesses amongst comparable spec projectors of this age. The average projector brightness of 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that are a similar age to this data projector is 4,100 ANSI lumens, and the projector brightnesses range from 600 ANSI lumens to 16,000 ANSI lumens.

We compared this projector to all the other 3,100 ANSI lumens brightness data projectors and we think a cheaper data projector such as the Canon X310ST or you might consider a higher scoring data projector such as the Ricoh PJ WX2240 are also worth considering.

If this 10000:1 contrast ratio projector projector brightness is not bright enough for you then you might also want to look at the Canon LV-WX320 (3,200 ANSI lumens) which is also cheaper.
