One customer considered that it did not have good picture quality. Pcmag.com said “Our testing showed mediocre image quality and a feeble soun”.

The Epson VS340 has one of the dimmer projector brightnesses (only 2,800 ANSI lumens) amongst 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors of this age.

At 37 decibels, the Epson VS340 has a pretty standard noise level compared to most of the other similar spec projectors that have been on the market for a comparable time to this multimedia projector.

There are a number of other 37dB noise level projectors currently available which you might also want to consider including the EH-TW570, or the VS345 ($432.89) both from Epson which has better reviews; or the Epson VS240 ($275) which is cheaper.
