The highest resolution of the Epson VS240 is SVGA (800x600). That's 77% less resolution than a 1080p (1920x1080) data projector, which is the most common resolution.

A SVGA (800x600) projector native resolution is actually the worst resolution across all 15000:1 contrast ratio projectors that were launched around the same time as this data projector.

Average Projector Brightness

At 3,000 ANSI lumens, the Epson VS240 has a pretty standard projector brightness compared to most of the other similar spec data projectors that came out more than a year ago.

We compared all the other 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness projectors to this data projector and we think because of it's better review score, the Acer X112H is also worth considering.

If you would prefer a data projector with a brighter projector brightness then you might want to consider the EB-W31 (3,200 ANSI lumens), the EB-X31 (3,200 ANSI lumens), or the EB-S31 (3,300 ANSI lumens) all from Epson which is also higher rated.

Projectors with a louder noise level that might be worth considering include the Epson VS340 ($378.61) (37dB).
