The Epson EB-S18 does not support full HD. Most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that were released more than two years ago also do not support full HD.

There are a number of alternative data projectors which also support full HD which you might also want to consider including the Epson Home Cinema 600 which also has a higher rating.

The Epson EB-S18 has a maximum resolution of SVGA (800x600). That's 53% less resolution than the most common projector native resolution of WXGA (1280x800).

A SVGA (800x600) projector native resolution is in fact the worst resolution across all data projectors of a similar spec and age to this data projector.

The best resolution across comparable types of multimedia projector is WUXGA (1920x1200).

Quite Loud Noise Level

With a noise level of 37 decibels, the Epson EB-S18 has a fairly loud noise level compared to most of the other multimedia projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as this projector. The quietest noise level of 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that are a comparable age to this data projector is 28dB and the loudest is 49dB.

Data projectors with a louder noise level that might also be worth looking at include the Epson EB-955W (37dB).
