We checked 887 expert and user reviews (including 30 verified purchases) for Epson multimedia projectors and found that on average Epson has good ratings compared to other brands. We also found that Epson has good ratings specifically within its 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors range. 95% of those that bought a Epson multimedia projector would recommend the product that they bought to other buyers.


Good Picture Quality

No 3D Support

One customer who reviewed it thought it did not have a good 3D picture quality. Two years ago Pc Mag wrote in their review of the Epson 1985WU “No 3D support”.

Three people who reviewed it thought it was good quality. Pc Mag said “High quality for both data images”. Expert review site Pcmag.com wrote in their Epson 1985WU review “The Epson PowerLite 1985WU WUXGA Wireless 3LCD Multimedia Projector offers excellent image quality, high resolution”. Kingoff00ls mentioned “Picture quality is excellent and the brightness is still good using these on a wall with lights on in the auditorium”.

The Epson 1985WU supports full HD, unlike most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that are a similar age to this data projector which do not support full HD.

We compared all the other projectors which support full HD to this data projector and we think because of it's better review score, the W1500, and the W1400 both from Benq or the NEC NP-M282 ($599) is also worth considering.
