The EK-402U supports 3D, unlike most of the other latest data projectors which do not support 3D.

There are a number of alternative projectors which support 3D currently available that you might want to consider including cheaper projectors such as the EH-TW6700[pl_3812541_price], or the EH-TW6700W[pl_3812542_price] both from Epson or the Viewsonic PRO8510L[plb_3737737_price].

Supports Full HD

The EK-402U supports full HD, unlike most of the other similar spec projectors that are a comparable age to the EK-402U which do not support full HD.

Alternative projectors which support full HD currently available that you might want to look at include the Sony VPL-HW45ES[plb_3723625_price] which has better reviews; or the EH-TW6700[pl_3812541_price], or the EH-TW6700W[pl_3812542_price] both from Epson which is cheaper.

The EK-402U has a built-in speaker(s). Most of the other projectors that are a similar age to the EK-402U also have a built-in speaker(s).

We compared all the other multimedia projectors with a built-in speaker(s) to this data projector and we think the PRO9510L[pl_3888756_price], and the PRO8510L[pl_3737737_price] both from Viewsonic or the Epson EH-TW6700[plb_3812541_price] which is cheaper is also worth considering.
