Supports Full HD

The EIKI EK-402U supports full HD, which is unusual. Most of the other projectors that came out in the last 12 months do not support full HD.

We think you might also be interested in some of the other projectors which support full HD currently available including the Epson EB-1795F, the Vivitek DH758UST ($1,299), or the Benq MW883UST ($1,300) which is cheaper.

The EIKI EK-402U has a built-in speaker(s), as do most of the other similar spec data projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as this projector.

Other projectors with a built-in speaker(s) currently available which you might want to consider include the Viewsonic PRO9510L ($1,499.99), the Epson EB-1795F, or the Panasonic PT-VX605N ($1,408.95) which is cheaper.

The highest resolution of the EK-402U is WUXGA (1920x1200). That's over two times the resolution of a WXGA (1280x800) multimedia projector, which is the most frequently found resolution.

This projector's resolution (WUXGA (1920x1200)) is actually the best resolution amongst all recently released 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors.

An XGA (1024x768) projector native resolution is the worst resolution across comparable types of projector.

Average Projector Brightness

With a projector brightness of 4,700 ANSI lumens, the EK-402U has a relatively standard projector brightness compared to most of the other recently released projectors.

If you are looking for a brighter projector brightness then you might also want to look at the Viewsonic PRO9510L ($1,499.99) (6,200 ANSI lumens and cheaper).

Quite Quiet Noise Level

With a noise level of only 35 decibels, the EIKI EK-402U has one of the quieter noise levels amongst comparable spec multimedia projectors of this age. The average noise level of data projectors that have been around for the last year is 37dB, and the noise levels range from 31dB to 93dB.

We compared this projector to all the other 35dB noise level data projectors and we think cheaper data projectors such as the Benq MW883UST ($1,300), the Epson EB-585WS, and the EIKI EK-401W is also worth considering.
