The XJ-M246 has a fairly quiet noise level (only 33 decibels) compared to most of the other data projectors of this age and type. Across all the comparable spec multimedia projectors that have been around for a similar time to this multimedia projector the noise levels range from 31dB to 43dB.

We compared all the other 33dB noise level projectors to this data projector and we think the Casio XJ-M146 which is cheaper; or the XJ-M156, and the XJ-M256 both from Casio which has better reviews are also worth considering.
