Good Brand

Benq has good average ratings for its 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors as well as across its entire data projector range compared to other manufacturers.

Good 3D Picture Quality

A few customers who purchased this projector concluded that it had a good 3D picture quality. Three years ago Jonah said on Amazon “On the DVD/ Blu Ray/ 3D, JUST Great”. Itreviews.com wrote “It also offers some advantages over the Epson EX3212, notably an optical zoom and full support for 3D with so” in their review of the Benq MS521 however despite that they only rated the product 40 out of 100.

Easy to Use

One Benq MS521 owner who reviewed this projector considered that it was easy to use the menus. Jonah mentioned “The functionality/ menus are great” in his Benq MS521 review.

Supports Full HD

Unlike most of the other comparable spec data projectors that have been available for a similar time to the MS521 which do not support full HD, the Benq MS521 supports full HD.

It may also be worth considering one of the alternative data projectors which support full HD currently available including because of it's better review score, the MS504[pl_2024728_price], or the MX505[pl_2024730_price] both from Benq or the Optoma DH1011[plb_1726991_price].

Supports 3D

Like most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a similar age to the MS521, the Benq MS521 supports 3D.

It may also be worth also looking at one of the alternative multimedia projectors which support 3D currently available including because of it's better review score, the ES500[pl_3258242_price], or the MS619[pl_2024148_price] both from Benq or the Optoma DX346[plb_2212801_price].

Does Not Support Wi-Fi

The Benq MS521 does not support wi-Fi, although this is within the context that most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been available for around the same time as the MS521 also do not support wi-Fi.

There are a number of other projectors which also support wi-Fi that you might also want to look at including the Benq MW817ST[plb_1414729_price] which also has a higher rating.

We compared this projector to all the other 3,000 ANSI lumens brightness data projectors and we think because of it's better review score, the MX505[pl_2024730_price], the MW821ST[pl_1521593_price], and the MS504[pl_2024728_price] all from Benq is also worth considering.

If this data projector projector brightness is too dim for you then you might also want to look at the S1283[pl_2575478_price] (3,100 ANSI lumens), or the X133[pl_2780263_price] (3,100 ANSI lumens) both from Acer or the Benq MX600[plb_2024731_price] (3,200 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.
