7 Reasons For
Benq Has Good Projector Reviews
We calculated the average ratings for all Benq projectors and also specifically for Benq 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors and found that in both cases Benq had good ratings.
The Benq 720P supports 3D, as do most of the other projectors that came out around the same time as the 720P.
We compared this projector to all the other projectors which support 3D and we think because of it's better review score, the Optoma DX346[plb_2212801_price], and the Benq MS504[plb_2024728_price] is also worth considering.
Has a Built-In Speaker(s)
The Benq 720P has a built-in speaker(s). Most of the other projectors of a comparable type and age to the 720P also have a built-in speaker(s).
We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative projectors with a built-in speaker(s) currently available including because of it's better review score, the Benq MX522[plb_2029720_price].
1600 X 1200 (UXGA) Supported Graphics Resolutions
This projector supports a supported graphics resolutions of 1280 x 720 (HD 720)|1600 x 1200 (UXGA), which is typical of many projectors that were launched around the same time as it.
Two HDMI Ports Quantitys
The Benq 720P is a two HDMI ports quantity projector. Most of the other comparable spec projectors that came out more than two years ago have between one and two HDMI ports quantitys.
Quite Long Service Life of Lamp (economic Mode)
At 6,500 hours, the Benq 720P has a fairly long service life of lamp (economic mode) compared to most of the other comparable spec data projectors that have been available for more than two years. The shortest service life of lamp (economic mode) of projectors of this spec and age is 3,000h, the longest is 10,000h, and the average service life of lamp (economic mode) is 6,100h.
+2 More reasons for
100V AC Input Voltage
This data projector has a 100 - 240V AC input voltage, which is the most commonly found AC input voltage on 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been around for more than two years.
7 Reasons Against
Does Not Support Full HD
Like most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that are a similar age to the 720P, the Benq 720P does not support full HD.
There are a number of other projectors which also support full HD which you might want to consider including the MS504[pl_2024728_price], or the MX505[pl_2024730_price] both from Benq or the Optoma DH1011[plb_1726991_price] which also has a higher rating.
Does Not Support Wi-Fi
The Benq 720P does not support wi-Fi. Most of the other projectors of a similar age and spec to the 720P also do not support wi-Fi.
Quite Dim Projector Brightness
With a projector brightness of only 2,500 ANSI lumens, the Benq 720P has one of the dimmer projector brightnesss amongst comparable spec projectors of this age. The projector brightnesss of multimedia projectors of a comparable age and type to the 720P range from 800 ANSI lumens to 4,200 ANSI lumens.
Projectors with a brighter projector brightness that might be worth considering include the Optoma DS330[plb_1878570_price] (2,800 ANSI lumens) which also has a higher rating.
Quite Loud Noise Level
The noise levels of projectors of a similar type and age to the 720P range from 26dB to 40dB. At 34 decibels, the Benq 720P has a quite loud noise level compared to most of the other comparable spec multimedia projectors that were released around the same time as the 720P.
We compared all the other 34dB noise level projectors to this projector and we think because of it's better review score, the Benq MX661[plb_1968810_price] is also worth considering.
+4 More reasons against
Only One VGA (D-Sub) Ports Quantity
The Benq 720P is a one VGA (D-Sub) ports quantity projector. Most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that have been available for more than two years have between one and two VGA (D-Sub) ports quantitys.
Only One Audio Input
The Benq 720P is a one audio input projector. Most of the other 13000:1 contrast ratio projectors that were released more than two years ago have one audio input.
Quite Small Offset
With an offset of only 115 percent, the Benq 720P has a quite small offset compared to most of the other projectors of this type and age. Projectors that have been around for around the same time as the 720P have offsets of between 100% and 160%, and the average offset is 120%.
