Smart TV

Good Connectivity

A few Asus B1MR owners who reviewed the product wrote that it was wifi compatible. Design Counts mentioned “Excellent except the WiFi”. Design Counts also wrote “Please fix the software so that the B1M uses industry standard wireless content beaming technology”. Trotter wrote in the same month “Is it "Wireless"? Here is my only disappointment with the projector.” .

A number of people who reviewed the Asus B1MR reckoned that it was good in terms of HDMI connections. Cesinge said on Amazon “And so an HDMI port was a plus” and scored the product 4 stars. Rhj501 mentioned on Amazon “We had the screen size huge! Really useful as it takes hdmi and comes with a vga cable so good for tv in as well as laptops” in their review of the Asus B1MR.

Weight & Dimensions

Good Size

A number of people who bought the Asus B1MR considered that it was lightweight. In October this year Jt mentioned on Amazon “Compact, lightweight and yet with crystal clear presentation this is a wonderful projector” and gave this projector a very good review score. Tim Grant said “It is lightweight and small in size” in his review of this projector and rated it 4 stars.

Easy to Use

Three Asus B1MR owners who reviewed the Asus B1MR thought it was easy to use. Cesinge mentioned “The device is extremely easy to use”. Cesinge also mentioned “I usually work with of a projected image of about 1-1.5m wide.) It comes with a handy small pouch, very easy to wear”. Xiaowen Li mentioned in their review of this projector “It just peel off from the control, never has such bad quality remote control before” however they scored the product 1 stars.

Acceptable Noise Level

One Asus B1MR reviewer who reviewed it thought it was noisy. Trotter said in their review on Amazon “Nice decent sound, loud enough to cover the noise of the fan (which, btw, is a bit loud)”. One customer who reviewed it thought it was quiet. Last year Agj said on Amazon “Unit has worked well for 10 months - quiet in Eco mode”.

Supports Full HD

The Asus B1MR supports full HD. Most of the other 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that are a comparable age to this projector do not support full HD.

There are a number of alternative data projectors which support full HD currently available that you might also want to look at including the Benq W1400 which has better reviews; or the Acer H6520 which is cheaper.

Quite Quiet Noise Level

At only 32 decibels, the Asus B1MR has a fairly quiet noise level compared to most of the other comparable spec data projectors that have been on the market for around the same time as this data projector. The quietest noise level of 10000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that were released more than two years ago is 28dB, the loudest is 49dB, and the average noise level is 36dB.

We compared all the other 32dB noise level projectors to this data projector and we think because of it's better review score, the Benq TH682 ($930.88) is also worth considering.

If you don't mind having a louder noise level then you might want to consider the NEC M362 (33dB).
