5 Reasons For

Just Released Six Months Ago

This projector has only been on the market for six months. Newer projectors like this one are likely to use better technology.

Acer Has Good Data Projector Reviews

Projectors manufactured by Acer have an average rating of 79%, which is in the top 58% of all data projector manufacturers that we have analysed.

Supports 3D

The Acer A1200 supports 3D. Most of the other new 20000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors also support 3D.

Other multimedia projectors which also support 3D that you might also want to look at include the W340, or the GT760A both from Optoma or the Acer P1386W.

Has a Built-In Speaker(s)

The Acer A1200 has a built-in speaker(s). Most of the other 20000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that are a similar age to the A1200 also have a built-in speaker(s).

It may also be worth considering one of the alternative data projectors with a built-in speaker(s) currently available including cheaper projectors such as the H5382BD ($482.24), or the X135WH both from Acer.

There are a number of other projectors which also have a built-in speaker(s) which you might also want to consider including the Acer P1386W.

2 Reasons Against

Does Not Support Full HD

Like most of the other 20000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that have been available for the last year, the Acer A1200 does not support full HD.

Alternative data projectors which also support full HD that you might also want to consider include the Acer H6502BD ($609.99) which also has a higher rating.

3 Other reasons to consider the Acer A1200

Average Projector Brightness

With a projector brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens, the Acer A1200 has a fairly standard projector brightness compared to most of the other comparable spec multimedia projectors that have been around for a similar time to the A1200.

We compared this data projector to all the other 3,200 ANSI lumens brightness multimedia projectors and we think the Acer P1285 TCO which is cheaper is also worth considering.

If you are looking for a projector with a brighter projector brightness then you might also want to consider the Acer X1117H (3,600 ANSI lumens and cheaper).

Chart Edit

Average Noise Level

The Acer A1200 has a relatively average noise level (31 decibels) compared to most of the other 20000:1 contrast ratio multimedia projectors that have been around for the last year.

It may also be worth considering one of the other 31dB noise level projectors currently available including cheaper projectors such as the X135WH, or the H5382BD ($482.24) both from Acer.

Alternative multimedia projectors with a louder noise level that you might want to look at include the Acer P1386W (31dB).
