Solid State Drives (SSD) store information in transistors on a circuit board rather than on optical or magnetic media. This has the advantage of being much faster than a traditional HDD drive.

An SSD storage medium is actually the best storage speed amongst all few processor core computers that were released in the last year.

When compared to other comparable spec desktop computers that have been available for around the same time as the Chromebox that we have assessed, the internal memory of the Chromebox of 8 gigabytes is one of the biggest. Across all the new few processor core computers the internal memory range from 2GB to 8GB.

We think you might also be interested in some of the other 8GB memory personal computers currently available including the Alienware Alpha, or the HP 400 G3 MT which is cheaper.

Supports Three Compatible Memory Cards

The number of compatible memory card supported by the Chromebox is more than most few processor core computers that are a similar age to it. This computer supports an SD compatible memory card, which is the most commonly supported compatible memory card supported by few processor core computers that came out in the last 12 months.
