A few DELL OptiPlex 3040 owners mentioned in their reviews that it was good quality. Pc Mag said on PC Mag this year “Great call quality and volume” in their review. Pc Mag also wrote “Excellent call quality”.

One DELL OptiPlex 3040 owner who reviewed the product mentioned that it was not reliable. Pc Mag wrote a few weeks ago “Not always reliable” in their review of the DELL OptiPlex 3040.

Quite Slow Processor Clock Speed

The average processor clock speed of comparable spec desktop computers that are a similar age to the OptiPlex 3040 is 3.1GHz, and the processor clock speeds range from 1.3GHz to 4GHz. With a processor clock speed of only 2.5 gigahertz, the OptiPlex 3040 has one of the slower processor clock speeds amongst personal computers of this age.

There are a number of other 2.5GHz processor clock speed PCs currently available that you might want to look at including the HP 400 G2 which is cheaper.

If this computer processor clock speed is not fast enough for you then you might also want to consider the 400 G3 MT (3.2GHz), the 600 G2 (3.2GHz), or the 400 G3 SFF (3.2GHz) all from HP.
