On average Viewsonic medium monitors have good reviews as do all PC monitors built by Viewsonic.

Good Picture Quality

Unacceptable Noise Level

One customer who bought it considered that it was not noisy. Nablane wrote on Amazon “Unfortunately the replacement monitor switch-mode PSU is very noisy at standby, crackling” and rated it 2 stars.

Not 3D Compatible

Most medium monitors that have been around for more than two years are not 3D compatible. The Viewsonic VG2438 is no exception to this as it too is not 3D compatible.

Does Not Have a Built-In Camera

The Viewsonic VG2438 does not have a built-in camera, although keep in mind that most of the other flatpanel monitors of this age and type also do not have a built-in camera.
