We compared this PC display to all the other LCD screens with a built-in speaker and we think the Asus PB278 ($359.99), the Benq BL2710 ($1,692.73), and the Acer B286HK ($388.99) which has better reviews is also worth considering.

Quite Wide Horizontal Viewing Angle

Across all the medium monitors that are a comparable age to the MultiSync EA273 the horizontal viewing angles range from 60° to 1,800°. At 178 degrees, the MultiSync EA273 has a fairly wide horizontal viewing angle compared to most of the other comparable spec PC monitors that were released more than two years ago.

Difficult to Use

One NEC MultiSync EA273 owner concluded that it was not easy to use the menus. Three years ago Macworld.co.uk said “Middle of display brighter than everywhere else, boxy design, relatively low resolution for the size, dismal speakers, impossible to see menu controls in dark rooms” in their review of the NEC MultiSync EA273.

The MultiSync EA273 does not have an integrated card reader, although this is within the context that most of the other LCD screens that are a comparable age to the MultiSync EA273 also do not have an integrated card reader.

There are a number of alternative flatpanel monitors which also have an integrated card reader that you might want to look at including the U2713H, or the U2413 ($429.99) both from DELL or the Acer DA220 which is also higher rated.
