Nice Design

One Lenovo Pro2840 owner who purchased this PC monitor mentioned that it was good looking. Two years ago Pcmag.com mentioned on expert review site PC Mag “The Lenovo ThinkVision Pro2840m is a sharp-looking 28-inch UHD monitor that delivers mostly accurate colors and a beautiful picture.” in their review of this PC monitor but despite that they only gave this PC monitor a rating of 3 stars.

One Lenovo Pro2840 owner considered that it was a good design. Pc Mag said on PC Mag “Sleek design” in their review.

Lenovo LCD Screens Have Good Reviews

Lenovo is one of the better rated PC monitor manufacturers according to average reviews from users and experts, and Lenovo also has good reviews for its medium monitors.

Has a Built-In Speaker

Unlike most of the other PC monitors of this spec and age which do not have a built-in speaker, the Pro2840 has a built-in speaker.

We think you might also be interested in some of the alternative flatpanel monitors with a built-in speaker currently available including the LG 27MB85 ($347.99), the iiyama XB2776QS, or the Philips 298P4 which has better reviews.

This PC display received a rating of 60% from PC display expert review website PC Mag. The expert review sites don't rate this LCD screen very highly.

Does Not Have a Built-In Camera

The Pro2840 does not have a built-in camera, although it is worth keeping in mind that most of the other medium monitors that have been on the market for a comparable time to the Pro2840 also do not have a built-in camera.

Alternative PC monitors which also have a built-in camera that you might want to look at include the C272P4QPKEW/75, or the 272P4 ($586.99) both from Philips or the Acer DA220 which is also higher rated.

Not 3D Compatible

The Pro2840 is not 3D compatible. Most of the other comparable spec PC monitors that came out more than two years ago are also not 3D compatible.

PC displays which are 3D compatible that might also be worth considering include the Samsung SMT-2232 ($702.65), the Philips 272G5DYEB/93, or the Acer DA220 which is also higher rated.

Does Not Have an Integrated Card Reader

Most medium monitors that are a similar age to the Pro2840 do not have an integrated card reader. The Lenovo Pro2840 is no exception to this as it too does not have an integrated card reader.

We compared all the other PC monitors which also have an integrated card reader to this LCD screen and we think the DELL UP2414Q ($699.93), the Benq BL3201 ($791.49), or the Acer DA220 which also has a higher rating is also worth considering.

We compared all the other PC screens that have an LCD Display to this PC monitor and we think because of it's better review score, the DELL U2410, the Philips 272P4 ($586.99), and the iiyama XB2776QS is also worth considering.

If the display type of this LCD screen is not good enough for you then you might want to consider the HP 2211 (LED), the Asus PB279 ($517.85) (LED), or the LG 32LS33 (LED) which is also higher rated.

I purchased this monitor back in Sept. with high hopes based on prior Lenovo experience, and the features advertised. I had to immediately return the unit due to the connectors "shorting out".... Read more…
