Several Asus PG278Q owners who reviewed it mentioned that it had good picture quality. D. Cousins said on Amazon “While the image quality is probably the best I've seen from a TN”. Disposalist mentioned on Amazon “The G-Sync is good - really makes for smooth graphics - hard to describe the improvement is subtle” in their review of this PC monitor however despite that they scored it 60 out of 100. Nathan gave the product an excellent review and he wrote in his Asus PG278Q review “If you're capable of upgrading your graphics card, I would definitely recommend using a card with more than 2GB VRAM”.
A number of people who purchased it concluded that it had good colour saturation. Acidx gave it a very good rating and said on Amazon a few weeks ago “Someone sat next to you will see the exact same colours, especially if you angle the screen evenly”. Boffinboy said on Amazon “This is really noticeable in some games in light colours and was enough for me to return the monitor” however they only rated it 60 out of 100. Davey mentioned “Everything on the swift was pin sharp and the colours were amazing, you do”.

Last year David wrote “G-Sync and the 144Hz refresh rate are amazing though, my advice, wait for the IPS version” but despite that he only gave the Asus PG278Q a score of 1 stars. Haydn scored it very highly and said in their review on Amazon “+ Resolution hits the sweet spot for image clarity and how easy it is to power.+ 144Hz refresh rate is glorious”. Haydn also wrote “+ 144Hz refresh rate is glorious and going back to 60Hz now is just impossible”.
