Despite my my issue I would recommend. It's a nice little machine for the money...

In most of the Chromebook reviews I read online this was considered to be the second best Chromebook, second only to the Pixel which costs roughly 1 000 more
I find it to be very performant, it runs cool to the touch even after hours of use, and the battery has no trouble lasting 8.5 - 9 hours under normal web browsing
There is pretty much an application for any required use available in the Chrome store. Also, it's quite easy to install and run Linux. A keyboard shortcut alows you to instantly switch back and forth
