Some customers said in their reviews that the product had a good lens. Ephotozine.com said on expert review site Ephotozine two years ago “The Sony Cyber-shot QX30 is one of Sony's "Smart Lens" cameras, designed to be used with a smartphone” in their review of the Sony DSC-QX30. Ephotozine.com also said “It gives you an impressive 30x optical zoom lens, vastly improving the reach of your camera”. Expert website Techradar.com said in their review of this digital camera “It looks like a giant add-on lens for your smartphone.” but even so they rated the product 3 stars.

Several people thought this digital camera had a good zoom. One Sony DSC-QX30 reviewer said in their reviews that it had a good autofocus. Katia gave it a score of 5 stars and she wrote “The focus is fast” in her review of this digital camera.
