Six years ago Whatdigitalcamera.com wrote on expert review site What Digital Camera “Is this just a gimmick or a breakthrough in compact camera des” in their review of this digital camera. In the same month Ephotozine.com wrote in their Samsung MV800 review on expert review site Ephotozine “Samsung MultiView MV800 Lens ExtendedThe Samsung MultiView MV800 is a new compact camera with a large touch screen that swivels over the top of the camera”. Ephotozine.com also said “We have reviewed a number of Samsung's latest compact digital cameras”.

Five Samsung MV800 reviewers mentioned in their reviews that the Samsung MV800 was thin. Pcadvisor.co.uk mentioned in their review of this digital camera “The slim MV800 has a unique adjustable touchscreen” . Expert review site Photoxels.com wrote “It is slim enough to carry in a jeans pocket” in their review of the Samsung MV800.
