Several Ricoh WG-20 owners mentioned in their reviews that it was strong and durable. A R Hartley said on Amazon “A rugged, hard wearing camera” but they only rated the product 3 stars. A number of people who purchased it reckoned that it was compact. M. Hadfield wrote “Nice little compact”. M. Hadfield also wrote “The last time I owned a compact digital camera was around 12 years ago”. Two years ago expert review site Photographyblog.com mentioned “Since Ricoh acquired Pentax from Hoya, they're releasing cameras under the Ricoh name that bear an uncanny resemblance to Pentax compact cameras”.
