16 Reasons For

User Reviews Are Good

People who bought this Panasonic camera rated this camera 82% on average.

Panasonic Has Good Reviews for Its Cameras

Compact cameras manufactured by Panasonic have good reviews on average compared to other manufacturers. We also checked the reviews for all cameras (not just compact cameras) and found that Panasonic also has good reviews across its entire range.

Robust

Several Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS30 reviewers who bought it considered that it was strong and durable. Steves-Digicams.com said on expert website Steve's Digicams “The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS30 is a "rugged" camera designed for campers, hikers, divers, surfers, or anyone who enjoys activities that would normally spell doom for your average point-n-shoot” in their review of this digital camera. Imaging-Resource.com mentioned in their Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS30 review on Imaging Resource.com “If you're interested in a rugged, waterproof camera that can take a lot of abuse from the elements”.

CCD Sensor Type

This camera has a CCD sensor type, which is the most frequently found sensor type on cameras of a comparable age and spec to it. CCD sensors produce high quality, low-noise images but consume a lot more power than CMOS sensors. CCD is the most common image sensor type used in digital cameras.

Alternative digital cameras that have a CCD sensor currently available which you might want to consider include because of it's better review score, the PowerShot SD1100 IS[pl_3125490_price], or the IXUS 170[pl_2701303_price] both from Canon.
