Across all the medium megapixel cameras that have been on the market for a similar time to this camera the display diagonals range from 2" to 4.8", and the average display diagonal is 2.9".
There are a number of alternative 3" screen digital cameras currently available which you might want to consider including the Sony SLT-A35Y + DT 18-55mm + DT 55-200mm, or the Samsung SAMSUNG DV300F which both of have better reviews.
If you want a camera with a larger display diagonal then you might want to look at the Df ($1,995.95) (3.2" and higher rated), the D4 ($4,299.99) (3.2" and higher rated), or the D4S (3.2" and higher rated) all from Nikon.
