When Are Most New Nikon Cameras Released?

Over the last 3 years we couldn't see any obvious pattern in the release month for new Nikon cameras.

Four new Nikon digital cameras were released in September 2018 making it the biggest month that year for new Nikon camera releases. March was the biggest month in 2017 for new Nikon cameras, with two new Nikon cameras released that month. In 2016 most new Nikon digital cameras were released in January, with eight new Nikon digital cameras released that month.

    .

How Fast Do Nikon Digital Camera Prices Drop After Release?

Most cameras drop in price by 3% in the first 6 months after release, however Nikon cameras tend to depreciate faster.

On average, in the first 6 months after release, Nikon cameras drop in price by 4%. If you are prepared to wait then you could save an average of $25 on a typical $715 new Nikon camera by waiting 6 months before buying.
