ZOOM TEST FUJIFILM S4500

22 Reasons For

One Industry Award

This Fujifilm camera was given a "Gold" award by Buy-n-shoot.com who thought that this camera was outstanding.

Good Quality Lens

A few people said in their reviews that it had a good zoom. Five years ago Steves-Digicams.com wrote on Steve's Digicams “The Fuji FinePix S4500 is a simple Mega-zoom camera, with the main feature being an awesome 30x Fujinon optical zoom lens”.

Good Technical Features

One person reckoned that it had good features. Cnet.com wrote in their review of this digital camera on CNET.com “A nice feature set and a long lens make the Fujifilm FinePix S4500 one of the better megazoom cameras available for those on a budget” but even so they only rated the Fujifilm S4500 3 stars.

Fujifilm Has Good Camera Reviews

We checked 4,178 user and expert reviews for Fujifilm cameras and found that on average Fujifilm has good reviews. We also found that Fujifilm has good reviews specifically for its bridge camera digital cameras.

Good Size

One customer considered that it was compact. Five years ago expert review site Steves-Digicams.com wrote “Fuji's Finepix S4500 is a compact Megazoom digicam sporting a 30x optical zoom lens, CCD sensor-shift image stabilization, 14-Megapixel CCD imaging sensor, electronic viewfinder”.

CCD Sensor Type

The Fujifilm S4500 has a CCD sensor type which is better than most cameras of a similar age and type to it. Most digital cameras of a comparable age and spec to it have a MOS sensor type. This camera's sensor type (CCD) is in fact the best sensor type amongst all digital cameras that were launched around the same time as the S4500.

Amongst similar types of camera the worst sensor type is MOS.

We compared this digital camera to all the other digital cameras that have a CCD sensor and we think because of it's better review score, the FinePix SL240[pl_1349973_price], and the FinePix S4200[pl_1353343_price] both from Fujifilm or the Kodak Pixpro AZ251[plb_2452647_price] is also worth considering.
