Eight Sony FDR-AX53 owners who reviewed this camcorder considered that it had a good image stabiliser. Dr. Michael Heron said on Amazon this year “The on-board stabilisation software is absolutely excellent”. A few weeks ago Gadget Man said on Amazon “The image stabilisation is very powerful.”. In December Jgw89 mentioned “In both modes Stabilization is unbeatable when compared to my previous Panasonic” in their Sony FDR-AX53 review.

A few Sony FDR-AX53 reviewers reckoned that the Sony FDR-AX53 had a good lens. In December this year Jgw89 said “This one has now introduced a native 16x9 aspect ratio along with the Carl Zeiss lens which provides wonderful detailed images - the detail is incredible vs HD” in their Sony FDR-AX53 review.

Dr. Michael Heron mentioned in his review of the Sony FDR-AX53 on Amazon “When combined with a half-way reasonable tripod you'll get rock-solid smooth motion with minimal effort”. In December Jgw89 mentioned “While this model isn't 100% stable wheb fully zoomed it is smooth and watchable, rather than all over the place” in their Sony FDR-AX53 review. Martian Invader mentioned on Amazon “I have a PJ620 with BOSS ( Balanced Optical Steady Shot ) which works great, giving smooth footage” but even so they rated the Sony FDR-AX53 40 out of 100.

Three Sony FDR-AX53 reviewers wrote in their reviews that it was good looking. Lark said on Amazon this year “The mic technology on this camera alone is pretty good, featuring noise cancellation qualities”.
