The Sony DCR-PJ6B supports an SDXC memory card which is better than most camcorders of a comparable age and spec to it. Most video cameras that were released more than two years ago support an SD memory card. This video camera also support MS PRO Duo and MS Pro-HG Duo and SDHC memory cards. SDXC cards are SD cards but with a much higher capacity and faster processing speeds. They have a maximum capacity of 2TB (Terabytes).
An SDXC memory card is in fact the best supported memory card type amongst all video cameras of a similar spec and age to the DCR-PJ6B.

SDHC cards are DS cards with a higher capacity of up to 32GB.
