Easy to Use

A few GE DV1 reviewers who reviewed the product thought it was easy to use. Jonjo mentioned in their review “Brilliant piece of kit, fits in a pocket, easy to use” . Two years ago Martin Manchester mentioned “Easy to use for most functions although the buttons could do with being a little larger” in his review and scored it 80 out of 100. Minty said in their GE DV1 review “Very easy to use, I gave this to my 7 year old daughter who worked it out in literally seconds” and rated this camcorder as very good.

Some customers thought it was easy to use the menus. Mr. J. Jackson wrote in their review on Amazon “Not too many technical settings on this camera”. R. Bingham wrote four years ago “After initial charging (4 hours) I entered the simple menu system and adjusted the settings to my liking” in their review.

Robust

Several GE DV1 reviewers wrote in their reviews that this camcorder was good at resisting water ingress. Michal Kownacki mentioned “Mmaximum recording time of 30 minutes Good battery Water resistant to 5 meters (proven) Resistant to falls Easy to use” . Three years ago Mr K L mentioned in his review of this camcorder “Works well underwater, as long as you remember to close the sides”. Mrs Tracey Lucas mentioned “Yes it was waterproof and was taken swimming with the turtles” in her review of this camcorder but despite that she only gave it a score of 60 out of 100.

A number of GE DV1 owners who reviewed it considered that it was strong and durable. Alisonandgordon wrote “Excellent camera for a 13 year old, robust very easy to use” in their review. Cnet.com wrote “The rugged GE DV1minicamcorder is OK for casual Web videos”. Five years ago About.com said “It's more rugged and can” in their review of the GE DV1.

Good Product Quality

A few customers who bought the GE DV1 said that it was good quality. Borderman said on Amazon “I returned this item was not impressed with the video quality it was above average its has some good features thou its water proof” but despite that they gave the GE DV1 a rating of 60 out of 100. Minty wrote “Where it comes into its element is with its ruggedness & the fact it's waterproof whilst producing good quality video & photos, especially at discovery cove, typhoon lagoon & blizzard beach” and gave the product a score of 5 stars. Mr J M Burgess wrote in his review of this camcorder “We think it has good image and sound quality” and gave it a score of 5 stars.

Nice Design

Five GE DV1 reviewers who purchased this camcorder thought it was good looking. Goingdownhillfast rated it 5 stars and mentioned “I researched them pretty thoroughly”. Sllab War Der said on Amazon “This pocket camcorder has gotten some pretty negative reviews which seem to me to be a bit unwarranted.I've also watched video-reviews of this product on youtube”. V said on Amazon “The camera looks pretty sturdy” and scored the product 5 stars.

A few people who reviewed this camcorder said that it was neat. Expert review site Expertreviews.co.uk mentioned “It’s a neat soap bar design” in their review of this camcorder. All in all, the GE DV1-GG is an alright device for a day at the beach, mountainside and the like...
