Quite Large Display Diagonal

The Vixia HF R400 has a quite large display diagonal (3 inches) compared to most of the other camcorders of a similar age and spec to this camcorder. Similar spec video cameras that were released more than two years ago have display diagonals of between 1.4" and 4.3", and the average display diagonal is 2.9".

We compared this camcorder to all the other 3" screen size camcorders and we think the Vixia HF M40, and the Legria HF R46 both from Canon which has better reviews is also worth considering.
