The KDL-40W4000 does not support smart TV features, although it is worth noting that most of the other TVs of this spec and age also do not support smart TV features.

We compared all the other TVs which also support smart TV features to this TV and we think the UN32EH5300, or the UE32H6410 both from Samsung or the Philips 32PHT4509 is also worth considering.

Not 3D Compatible

The KDL-40W4000 is not 3D compatible. Most of the other comparable spec TVs that have been around for a similar time to the KDL-40W4000 are also not 3D compatible.

TVs which are 3D compatible that might also be worth looking at include the LG 42LW579, the Sony KDL-47W800, or the Samsung UE46F8500 which is also higher rated.

The Sony KDL-40W4000 does not have a built-in camera. Most of the other mid-size TVs that came out around the same time as the KDL-40W4000 also do not have a built-in camera.

It is worth also looking at other TVs which also have a built-in camera including the UE46ES8000, or the UN46ES8000 both from Samsung or the Philips 48PFS8109 which also has a higher rating.

The KDL-40W4000 does not feature OLED technology, although this is within the context that most of the other TVs of a similar type and age to the KDL-40W4000 also do not feature OLED technology.

We think you might also be interested in alternative televisions which also feature OLED technology including the LOEWE Art 32, or the Samsung UE46H7000 which also has a higher rating.
